One recipe book for your team
Everyone who is a member of a shared folder sees the same recipes on their own phone, tablet or computer. When the creator changes a recipe, the whole brigade sees the new version straight away. No loose copies, no old printouts on the wall.
Roles: owner, editor and viewer
The owner manages the folder, the members and their roles. An editor adds recipes and folders, removes them and manages the folders. A viewer can view, print and scale. Only the creator of a recipe can edit it, so nobody changes someone else’s recipe by accident.
Adding recipes
Choose “Add recipe” and tick recipes from your own library. The recipe stays yours: it is in the shared folder and in your own recipes at the same time.
Folders per section or per menu
Split the shared folder into folders: one per section (garde manger, saucier, pastry) or one per menu. With “Manage folders” you rename them, put them in your kitchen’s order and archive folders you no longer use, like last season’s menu. Archived folders and their recipes are kept under “Archive”.
Inviting your team
Invite colleagues via WhatsApp, Telegram, email or the invitation link. After logging in they join as a viewer; as the owner you can then give them another role. Being a member of a shared folder is free, also without Savour Pro.
Printing for the binder
Print the whole shared folder, one folder or your own selection in one go. You get a table of contents, the number of each recipe at the bottom of the page so you can leaf through quickly, and with Savour Pro your restaurant’s logo at the top.
Scaling and cook mode
Scale any recipe to the yield you need. Cook mode shows only the recipe in large type and keeps your screen on; tick off ingredients and steps as you work.
Copying a recipe
On every colleague’s recipe in the shared folder you see “Add to my recipes”. You get your own copy to change, while the original stays with its creator.
Also without internet
Recipes you have opened stay available on your phone. Even in a basement kitchen without wifi you can read them.
Leaving or deleting
A member can always leave a shared folder. Only the owner can delete it; the recipes themselves simply stay in their creator’s library.
You create a shared folder with Savour Pro; anyone can be a member for free. In every shared folder you also find this explanation behind the i button.
